During COnstruction
Can we make changes to the design while construction is under way?
Yes, design changes can be made during construction. While making selections and decisions earlier in the process is typically easier and more efficient, adjustments can still be accommodated as the project progresses. When changes are requested, CMB Construction reviews the scope, updates pricing if necessary, and confirms any timeline impacts before moving forward.
How often will you provide progress updates?
CMB Construction provides regular progress updates throughout the construction process. Photos from the job site are typically uploaded to the project management system every other day, allowing clients to monitor progress remotely. In addition, the team communicates directly with clients at least once per week to review progress, discuss upcoming phases, and address any questions.
How often can we visit the construction site?
Clients are welcome to visit their construction site throughout the building process. CMB Construction encourages homeowners to visit regularly so they can see progress and stay connected to the project. At minimum, clients are asked to visit the site once every two months, though many choose to stop by weekly or biweekly.
How do you ensure quality control?
Quality control is maintained through a combination of training, daily oversight, and scheduled inspections. Site managers perform daily walkthroughs to monitor workmanship and verify that installations meet project specifications. In addition, Colin conducts weekly project walkthroughs to review progress and ensure construction standards are consistently maintained.
What measures does CMB construction take to ensure the security of construction sites?
Construction site security is maintained through monitoring systems and controlled site access. Cameras are installed on job sites to monitor activity and document who enters and leaves the property. When the structure allows, sites are secured with locks on doors and windows to prevent unauthorized access and protect materials and equipment. The safety of our workers and your investment is our top priority.
How does CMB Construction handle changes in client preferences during construction?
We are in the business of building our client's dream home and it is very natural for their vision to evolve as construction of their home takes shape. While the earlier you make changes in your design is the easiest, we embrace the evolution of our client's ideas throughout the building process. Whether it's a change in countertops, paint, fixtures, etc. We will obtain new quotes and make the necessary changes as fast as possible for you! The last thing we want is for our clients to feel trapped in a decision they made before seeing their build take shape. Start your custom home build process today!
How does CMB Construction handle the disposal of construction waste?
Construction waste is managed through a waste-handling company that focuses on material sorting and recycling. Dumpsters are delivered to the site and transported to a sorting facility where recyclable materials are separated whenever possible. This process helps reduce landfill waste while keeping job sites clean and organized.
